Giving Back Through Creativity is our way of supporting schools, educators, nonprofits, and community organizations through thoughtful design. We believe creativity can make a meaningful impact when it’s shared intentionally.

The Story behind the initiative

Every purchase supports giving back to nonprofit organizations and small groups making a difference in communities.

Simple Desert Designs was built on the belief that creativity can spark connection, strengthen communities, and make a difference in everyday moments.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting schools, teachers, PTO and PTA groups, coaches, and local organizations with design work that helps their events, fundraisers, and celebrations come to life. Many of my templates began as volunteer projects created for classrooms, charities, and community events — then refined and expanded so more people could benefit from them.

Giving back through design will always be at the heart of my business. Whether it’s donating my time, offering custom help to a school in need, or creating templates inspired by real community challenges, I believe that thoughtful design can uplift the people doing meaningful work every day.

Simple Desert Designs was built on the idea that good design should feel accessible, supportive, and empowering. Through Giving Back Through Creativity, we offer select organizations access to templates and resources that help them communicate, celebrate, and connect with their communities.

This program allows us to use our skills in a way that supports meaningful work beyond our storefront.

giving back through creativity details

We believe organizations that are truly making a difference are the heart of our communities.

Through this program, we’ve supported school PTOs, small nonprofit groups, and larger organizations by creating programs, brochures, flyers, and event kits that have helped raise thousands of dollars. Many of the templates available in our shop began as part of this initiative.

Our only requirement is that the designs created through this program may also be used as templates for others. This allows each project to extend its impact—helping additional groups and organizations with similar needs through accessible, ready-to-use designs.

What do selected organizations receive?

Custom designs tailored to your organization’s needs throughout the year. Approved groups receive access to these designs at template cost, with minimal fees to support ongoing creation and maintenance.

What types of products are included?

Approved organizations may request coordinating invitations, flyers, tags, signs, and social media template decks, among other materials—designed to work together seamlessly.

what if we have more than 6 events a year?

As long as at least three weeks’ notice is provided for design and approvals, we allocate time for up to one project per month for approved organizations.

What's the Catch?

There isn’t one.

The designs created through this program are added to our template library so they can continue helping other organizations with similar needs. In return, everyone benefits from thoughtfully designed, high-quality templates that make a real impact.

How Consideration Works

Giving Back Through Creativity is offered on a limited, case-by-case basis. Requests are reviewed periodically based on alignment, timing, and available capacity.

While we’re unable to support every request, each submission is thoughtfully reviewed. If selected, we’ll reach out directly with next steps.

This program does not guarantee approval or ongoing support.
